Sew-Along: Simplicity #S1254

When I was scrolling through Instagram, I saw another #Sewist who made a bomber jacket using this fabric from JoAnn Fabrics - Faux Fur White Daisy. I knew I had to have it! And I ordered it from Joanns.com immediately!

The gorgeous ivory faux fur with simple black flowers reminds me of a Kate Spade print. Not to mention the quality is outstanding!

Initially I was also going to also make a bomber jacket, but decided against it when I realized I ordered TOO much fabric (oops!). I didn't want to waste any of this beautiful fabric so instead I looked back through my pattern stash and decided to use Simplicity S1254, a Leanne Marshall coat with princess seams, pockets, and a circular hood!

I used a silky polyester fuchsia lining fabric purchased from Astoria Fashion Fabrics that I had used for my Easter outfit. Finding a 28" separating zipper for View A was harder than I thought it would be to find here in Minnesota. I ended up ordering this zipper from Wawak in black.
