New York Botanical Garden - Orchid Nights is a special event that ran from March 16 to April 27 from 7-10pm. The event featured a gorgeous display of orchids of all varieties.

For this event I made McCall's pattern #M7894 view D. This dress pattern features a wrap-top bodice with an umpire waistline and a skirt with diagonal style lines and optional ruffles. View D has a long skirt with a slit and two ruffles going around the skirt in the front and back. The sleeves have an elastic insert and plenty of fullness.

The fabric I chose is from Mood Fabrics - Enigmatic Flora Antiqued Navy Cotton Lawn. I love this lightweight cotton fabric. It is soft to the touch and drapes beautifully.

This dress turned out amazing! I loved it so much I made another one right away.
