Happy Easter Sunday!
For the holiday I sewed a beautiful Easter dress using fabric from my stash, with lining fabric from Astoria Fashion Fabrics, and Simplicity pattern #8545 view E
The dress features a full-gathered skirt, simple bodice and 3/4 sleeves with a center back invisible zipper. The lining is a slip lining with a center back zipper and spaghetti straps and full neckline facing.
The fabric features a beautiful multi-colored embroidery with sequins and glitter with a turquoise wavy edge
This was a very simple dress to make with a simple bodice and straight gathered skirt. In order to maintain the hem, I cut the skirt on a straight edge, even though the pattern was curved. The sleeves and skirt hem called for bias binding, but I left them raw and only used a white bias binding on the neckline.
The result is a beautiful dress ready for Easter Sunday.
